Accepting these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the Replic team (“Replic”, “we”, “us”) and cover your use of the Replic Discord bot (the “Bot”) and this website (together, the “Service”).
By adding the Bot to a server, running any of its commands, or using this website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you add the Bot to a server on behalf of a community or organisation, you confirm you’re allowed to accept these Terms for it. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service and remove the Bot from your server.
The service
Replic is a Discord bot that lets you:
- Clone emojis and stickers from other servers, or upload images as new ones;
- Create backups of a server’s layout — roles, channels, categories, permissions, settings, icon, and emoji and sticker references;
- Load backups to restore that layout into a server you own.
The Service is currently free. Replic is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.
Who can use Replic
You must be old enough to use Discord in your country (at least 13 in most places) and have an account in good standing. Your use of Replic is also subject to Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. If something is not allowed on Discord, it is not allowed with Replic.
Acceptable use
When you use the Service, you agree not to:
- Clone emojis, stickers or server layouts you don’t have the right to use, or use them to infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
- Use Replic to copy or take over a server without its owner’s permission, impersonate another community, or help with raids, scams or phishing;
- Upload or clone content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise breaks Discord’s rules;
- Spam commands, try to get around cooldowns or limits, or do anything that degrades the Service for others;
- Exploit bugs, attempt to access backups that aren’t yours, or reverse-engineer, overload or attack the Bot or its infrastructure;
- Resell or redistribute the Service, or present it as your own.
If you find a bug or security issue, please report it privately in our support server instead of exploiting it.
Emojis, stickers & content
Replic copies content at your request. You are responsible for what you clone or upload and for making sure you’re allowed to use it. Emojis, stickers, server icons and names belong to their original creators or owners — using Replic doesn’t transfer any rights in them to you or to us.
If you believe content was copied using Replic in a way that infringes your rights, contact us and we’ll look into it. Content that already lives in a Discord server can also be reported to Discord directly.
Backups & restores
- Your backups are yours. Only the account that created a backup can view, load or delete it.
- Loading is destructive. By default, loading a backup deletes the target server’s existing channels, roles and emojis before recreating them. Replic asks you to confirm first, but once confirmed this can’t be undone.
- Backups aren’t complete copies. Messages, members, bans, threads, webhooks and member-specific permissions are not saved. Emoji and sticker images are re-downloaded from Discord when you load, so ones deleted from the original server may be skipped.
- Discord limits apply. Some features (such as announcement, stage and forum channels) need a Community server; otherwise they’re created as text or voice channels.
- Keep your own copies of anything critical. We do our best to store backups safely, but we can’t guarantee they will always be available, and we aren’t responsible for lost backups or for the result of loading one.
Server permissions
Replic needs certain permissions to work — Manage Expressions for emojis and stickers, and Administrator to load backups. Server owners and administrators are responsible for granting those permissions and for controlling which members can run Replic’s commands (for example, through Server Settings → Integrations). We aren’t responsible for actions taken by members you’ve given access to.
Availability & limits
We aim to keep Replic online and working, but the Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, Discord outages or reasons outside our control. We may add, change or remove features, and set or change limits — such as the number of backups per account (currently 25), file sizes, or command cooldowns — at any time.
Live status is available on our status page.
Our intellectual property
The Replic name, logo, website, and the Bot’s code and design are owned by the Replic team. These Terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service as intended — they don’t give you any right to use our name or branding, or to copy the Service.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve Replic without any obligation to you.
Suspension & termination
You can stop using Replic at any time by removing it from your server. To remove your data as well, delete your backups
with /backup delete or ask us to — see the Privacy Policy.
We may restrict, suspend or end access to the Service for any user or server — with or without notice — if we reasonably believe these Terms or Discord’s rules have been broken, if required by law, or to protect the Service and its users. We may also delete backups linked to accounts or servers that misuse the Service.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that backups will be complete or always restorable, or that any content you clone is free to use.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Replic team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, servers, communities, content, revenue or goodwill, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service, including loading a backup or cloning content.
Because Replic is free, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to zero, or the smallest amount allowed by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited under the law that applies to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as Replic evolves. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, announce them in our support server. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
